Titaro is a wonderfully engaging 16-year-old boy who prefers to go by “Junior.” He is very independent and insightful. He is honest and is able to accept praise; when he makes a mistake, he is able to recognize it and apologize. Junior enjoys playing basketball, working out, and rapping, and has shared that he enjoys writing music as much as he enjoys listening to it. His favorite subjects are history and science, and his least favorite subject is math. He is not picky with food, but he does not like mushrooms. Junior has expressed a keen interest in a career in underwater welding and has already familiarized himself with schools that offer this program. He also wants to pursue a Bachelor’s in Business so he can own his own welding company. In the meantime, he’d like to start out with a job in fast food. He doesn’t have a license yet but has shared that he would like to drive an Impala when he’s old enough. Junior would like to travel to New York City one day and hopes to see Times Square.
Junior has expressed that he would like a traditional Black family with a mother and father. He identifies as Pentecostal but is open to a family of a different religion as long as he were still able to practice his own religion. It is also very important to Junior that he finds a family that is willing to help him keep his connections to his sisters. He would like a “younger” family that is open to being outdoors (SPORTS!), but also enjoys some down time indoors to play games and watch TV together. Junior says that he is more of a “city kid” and prefers a more urban setting rather than rural.
