Alexxis is a 15-year-old Caucasian female with blue eyes and light brown hair. Alexxis enjoys listening to music, especially Fleetwood Mac and Bob Marley. She enjoys being outside and visiting with her friends. Alexxis described herself as caring, empathetic, curious, and energetic. It is reported that Alexxis can be a little reserved when around new people, but she is always polite and respectful. Her personality depends on who she is around.
Alexxis enjoys eating pizza and Chinese food, while she dislikes Okra. Alexxis reported that she has insomnia due to her situation. She would like permanency whatever that may look like. Her hope is to return to her mother, but if not, she would like to be adopted by her grandmother.
Alexxis reported that her five best characteristics are she is smart, funny, she chooses to see the beauty in everything. She further stated that even the worst things or situation as some beauty in it. Alexxis’s favorite animal is a hyena as she they appear to be laughing all the time. She also noted that hyenas are a female dominate world. The strongest female rules the pack or clan.
Alexxis stated that when she grows up and goes to college, she would one day like to be a “therapist and help people and especially children.”
Alexxis loves her biological family, and it is vital for the adoptive family to understand that her family is very important to her and maintaining that relationship is crucial for Alexxis’s mental health. Although Alexxis realizes that living with her biological family is not healthy for her, she does love them, especially her mom. Alexxis has four younger half siblings, in which she loves and misses. They do have phone contact, and the caregivers ensure that they visit in person as often as possible.
